Claire’s particular professional interests include:
A drive on solution focused approaches across the school in all areas of SEN and behaviour/inclusion.
Promoting an ethos of ‘shared responsibility’ by upskilling the work force through regular CDP in the school.
Looking at resourcing and provision for individual children and creating child centred approaches to improving the outcome of SEN children.
Establishing systems for monitoring progress and evaluating practice with teaching and learning with a specific focus on SEN
Her recent projects and achievements include:
- Passing the National SENCo Award 2015-2016
- Coaching and mentoring course July 2017
After taking on her first Headship in September 2017 and from her previous leadership role, Claire has vast experience in placing successful systems into school in order to improve the quality of education. She would be able to support any Head or school with their development plan, with a specific focus on the provision for SEND and vulnerable children.
