Charlotte Acheson – Specialist Leader of Education

SCHOOL, CURRENT ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Charlotte is currently Assistant Maths Hub Lead and Primary Teaching for Mastery Lead for Angles Maths Hub, working with primary schools across Norfolk and Suffolk.  Since 2015, Charlotte has been an active SLE and has worked as a Teaching for Mastery Specialist alongside her recent senior leadership roles in Suffolk primary schools.  Charlotte has worked with many primary schools, Maths leaders and Head Teachers to develop a sustainable, mastery-based curriculum in Mathematics.  In addition, she has created and led CPD for teachers, teaching assistants and leaders, including the EEF Improving Mathematics in KS2 and KS3 Guidance Report.  Charlotte is also a Development Lead for ARK Mathematics Mastery.

Her recent projects and achievements include:

Charlotte is currently working with several schools across Suffolk through School to School Support to work alongside leaders and teaching staff, particularly in UKS2.  She has supported professionals in producing Action Plans in response to School Development Plans and Ofsted Reports.  Through her deployments she has helped school leaders to become more confident in carrying out rigorous monitoring of teaching and learning by supporting and advising in learning walks, lesson observations, work scrutinies and data analysis.  In addition, she continues to work with a range of teachers in schools from NQTs to more experienced teachers to improve the quality of teaching and learning within core subjects.
