Course Summary:
The core SLE Training day focuses around understanding the current climate of school to school support, recognising the importance of emotional intelligence and developing skills set to become an effective SLE.
The core aims of the programme are:

  • Induct newly appointed SLEs, developing their understanding of the principles of system leadership and the role of SLEs in a Self-improving School System
  • Develop key skills which will enable SLEs to carry out their role effectively – such as evidence gathering, contracting and coaching
  • Highlight the importance of emotional intelligence in building trust and effecting change in others
  • Offer opportunities for networking and discussion with other SLEs

Target Audience: Suitable for newly appointed SLEs
