Early Career Teachers’ positive views of induction are associated with a number of common enabling factors. These include the importance of having a balanced package of support, typically involving a standardised training programme alongside more personalised, teacher-led opportunities.
ConnectED’s NQT programme reflects the development needs expressed by inexperienced teachers and aims to build their confidence in key areas of professional practice.
Assessment for learning (AfL) helps teachers to help pupils understand where they are in their learning, where they need to go and how they can get there.
‘Practical Approaches for Developing Effective Assessment for Learning’ aims to provide delegates with an understanding of the effective formative assessment strategies. Topics covered will include:
- Skillful questioning
- Oral & written feedback
- Actively involving pupils in AfL to encourage them to take responsibility for their learning
- Developing reflective, collaborative learners
- Creating a culture of high achievement for all
